Here’s the new HTC ad on the Shuttle train between Times Square and Grand Central Terminal. Though I’m not a huge fan of HTC’s Flyer tablet, the stylus is a nice feature (which Apple can’t do as well with a capacitive screen).
The MTA started allowing full train advertising wraps (both interior and exterior) in 2008, mostly on the Shuttle, though the 4, 5, and 6 East Side line has seen a few. Some have been more effective than others – the History Channel did a visually arresting display for City of the Underworld, while a wrap for lady Gaga seemed oblivious to its setting.
The HTC ad is hardly the best out there, but it works by having a nice synergy with a difficult space. It’s like stepping into a picture book or a sea of floating images – visual candy on a daily commute.
But I’ll stick with my iPad.

What a great blog
Thanks much and I appreciate you stopping by!
